Department of world history

The Department of World History of the Faculty of History of H.S.Skovoroda Kharkiv National  Pedagogical University is a graduate and trains specialists in the specialty 014.03 Secondary education (History) in the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education, as well as in the specialty 032 History and archeology at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education (a post-graduate course).

The educational process is carried out on a full-time and part-time basis.

Subject of the Research Work of the Department: «Relevant Problems of Native and World History».

The purpose of the Department of World History is to provide effective and continuous training of competitive specialists in the field of historical education, educational and methodological and pedagogical support of their personal and professional growth. Tasks of the department:

• providing educational and professional needs of higher education applicants;
• introduction into the educational process of innovative technologies, methods and techniques that provide effective training and professional growth of higher education;

• implementation of research results in educational practice, intensification of creative search for specialists in line with current trends of globalization and taking into account the priority of universal and national values;

• information-consulting and scientific-expert activity in the system of training of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the field of historical education.
