The Faculty of History and Law was formed by merging the Faculties of History and Law on July 1, 2022, according to the order issued by the Rector of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University No. 63-od dated June 24, 2022.
The Faculty of History and Law is a modern and powerful faculty that trains highly qualified specialists of all levels in the specialties that are in demand in modern society.
The purpose of the Faculty of History and Law is to provide the necessary conditions for the training of educated, competent, highly qualified specialists in the field of knowledge 01 Education/Pedagogy, 03 Humanities, 08 Law, conscious citizens, patriots, bearers of spirituality and culture, able to work in a competitive environment in Ukraine and beyond, at a high professional level, to effectively influence the development of the rule of law and the creation of new prospects for it.

Graduates of the Faculty of History and Law acquire general and special competencies by mastering unique educational programs: «History in educational institutions», «History, jurisprudence and social science disciplines», «Geography in educational institutions», «Law». They are preparing to perform the professional functions of a teacher of history, geography, and a lawyer.
Graduates of the faculty work in various fields, in particular, in the system of general secondary, professional (vocational-technical), professional pre-university, higher education, social services, judicial system, prosecutor's office, State Executive Service, State Criminal Enforcement Service, advocacy, notary, police, free legal aid centers, employment centers, state administration, in the positions of history and geography teacher, head of secondary education, specialist in public and private institutions, teacher of higher education, speechwriter, political image maker, court clerk, assistant judge, assistant lawyer, judge, lawyer, investigator, assistant prosecutor, prosecutor, private executor, arbitration manager, legal adviser, etc.
The Faculty of History and Law is territorially located in the administrative building in the historical center of the city, in a building of the beginning of the 20th century with developed infrastructure: a library, a reading room, sports and dance halls, computer classes, spacious lecture halls and chairs equipped with multimedia facilities.
